Chris Herman

About Chris Herman

Chris Herman serves as GVFD secretary and EMS team lead, with EMT and fire police qualifications. He supports EMS, exterior fire and rescue operations, and the administrative board. An encounter at an accident scene brought him back to fire and EMS service: after helping an injured child, he spoke with GVFD member Fred Marzec when the department arrived, and that conversation inspired him to join. Chris helps organize department information and improve communication, and especially values coaching newer members. He brings experience in security, technology, leadership, and teaching to his work. Outside the firehouse, he spends much of his time with his family and enjoys traveling when he can.
